Managed Endpoint Security for Perth Small Business — $29.95 per Endpoint, No Lock-In
Transparent per-endpoint pricing. Secure remote support, managed endpoint platform, and Bitdefender-powered antivirus in one flat monthly fee — so you know exactly what you're paying for and why.
If You're Running a Perth SMB, You Probably Know This Story
These are the three patterns that bring owners to our inbox. See if any feel familiar.
Patchwork tools, no one owns security
Antivirus from one vendor, backup from another, MFA half-rolled-out, and a shared admin account with a sticky note on the monitor. When something breaks, nobody's accountable.
Project-only IT, no strategy
Your IT guy only shows up when you call. Patches don't get applied, licences renew on autopilot, and no one checks whether the backup actually restores. It's invisible until it isn't.
MSPs that lock you in for 36 months
The big Perth providers want a three-year contract, a big setup fee and a ticket queue between you and anyone technical. You're a customer number, not a client — and exit is painful.

Honest caveats we'd rather say up front
- EDR / XDR is not included in the base antivirus. If you need full behavioural telemetry and threat hunting, we integrate enterprise EDR as a priced add-on.
- Patch library focuses on the Microsoft stack. It covers OS and mainstream third-party apps thoroughly; bespoke line-of-business apps may need a manual deployment job.
- Cloud backup and helpdesk hours are separate engagements — they're not bundled into the $29.95/endpoint fee. We'll quote them transparently if you need them.
One Price, Per Endpoint, Published
Most Perth MSPs hide pricing behind a form. We publish it. One tier, no upsell games, no "contact us for enterprise" — all prices ex GST.
- Secure remote support on every device (attended + unattended)
- Managed endpoint platform (patching, policy, alerts)
- Bitdefender-powered antivirus with ransomware protection
- Inventory, compliance & vulnerability reporting
- Month-to-month, 30 days notice to exit
- Best value from 5 endpoints — smaller businesses can start
No hard minimum — best value from 5 endpoints. Under 5 endpoints, our ad-hoc rate at $180/hr ex GST is usually the honester fit and we'll tell you so. Not included in the endpoint fee: cloud backup, helpdesk hours, enterprise EDR/XDR add-ons, Microsoft 365 licensing, hardware, and major projects — all quoted separately.
How a Typical Engagement Runs
Short, transparent, and honest about what fits and what doesn't. You should know exactly what's happening at every step.
Scoping call (20 minutes)
We count endpoints, review current tools, and sanity-check whether Security Essentials actually fits. If ad-hoc at $180/hr is a better deal for you, we say so — you save the subscription.
Onboarding (1–2 weeks)
A secure management agent is deployed to each endpoint. Bitdefender AV policies rolled out. Patch rings configured. Inventory and alert profiles tuned to your environment. You see the console we see.
Monthly rhythm
Patching runs on schedule. Alerts triaged. Smart actions handle routine remediation automatically. You get a monthly snapshot: what patched, what was blocked, what's coming up.
What you can expect, honestly
- Predictable bill. Endpoint count × $29.95 ex GST — no hidden per-user inflation, no "true-up" surprises.
- Real visibility. Inventory, patch compliance, vulnerability insights and AV status on one dashboard. Not a black box.
- Low ceremony, high cadence. Background diagnostics and smart actions resolve routine issues without interrupting users — most of what we do, you'll never see happen.
- No lock-in. 30 days' notice and you're out. That's the leverage that keeps us sharp.
- Add-ons priced openly. Need enterprise EDR, cloud backup, or a block of helpdesk hours? Quoted transparently, per line item.
Security Essentials vs. Ad-Hoc at $180/hr
On a 12-endpoint business, the managed subscription costs less than about two hours of ad-hoc work a month. Here's the maths, one tier, published.
| What you get | Ad-Hoc @ $180/hr | Security Essentials |
|---|---|---|
| Billing model | Per incident, per hour, unpredictable | Flat $29.95/endpoint/month, predictable |
| Cost on 5 endpoints | ~$180/mo per hour of work | $149.75/mo fixed (5-endpoint starting point) |
| Cost on 12 endpoints | 2 hrs/mo already = $340/mo and climbing | $359.40/mo fixed — pays for itself at ~2 hrs |
| Cost on 25 endpoints | 5 hrs/mo already = $850/mo and climbing | $748.75/mo fixed — covered |
| Antivirus | Your problem (usually bundled AV) | Bitdefender-powered, centrally policy-managed |
| Patching | Happens when it happens | OS + third-party, ring-based, tracked per device |
| Remote support access | Reactive, per-session tools | Secure management agent live on every endpoint |
| Vulnerability & inventory visibility | None — reactive only | AI-prioritised CVE insights, hardware/software inventory |
| Lock-in | None, but no protection either | Month-to-month, 30 days notice to exit |
Rule of thumb: once you hit about 5 endpoints and more than a couple of IT hours a month, the subscription delivers better value than hourly work. Below that, ad-hoc at $180/hr ex GST is probably the honest right fit — and we'll tell you that before taking the subscription.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about contracts, inclusions, and how Security Essentials compares.
How long is the contract?
Month-to-month. Exit with 30 days' written notice. Most Perth MSPs push 24-36 month contracts; we don't. If we're not doing a great job you should be free to leave — that discipline keeps us sharp.
What's NOT included in the $29.95/endpoint/month?
The per-endpoint fee covers our managed endpoint stack (secure remote support, centralised endpoint management, Bitdefender-powered AV) running on each device. It does not include:
- Cloud backup — separate engagement, scoped to the data set you want protected.
- Helpdesk hours — quoted separately, either as a retainer or ad-hoc at $180/hr ex GST.
- Enterprise EDR / XDR add-ons — if you need full behavioural telemetry and threat hunting above the base AV, we integrate an enterprise-grade product as a priced add-on.
- Third-party licensing — Microsoft 365, specialist software, passed through at cost or the co-term price.
- Hardware — laptops, servers, network gear. Quoted when you need them.
- Major projects — office moves, migrations, new infrastructure. Scoped and fixed-priced before work starts.
Every excluded item is quoted in writing before we do anything. No surprise invoices.
Is there a minimum endpoint count?
No hard minimum — the package delivers its best value from 5 endpoints up. Smaller businesses (1–4 endpoints) are welcome, but ad-hoc support at $180/hr ex GST is usually the honestly cheaper fit, and we'll say so on the scoping call.
How long does onboarding take?
A typical small Perth business is fully onboarded in 1-2 weeks:
- Week 1: Discovery, management agent deployment across endpoints, Bitdefender AV rollout, initial patch policy baseline.
- Week 2: Alert profiles tuned to your environment, inventory reporting verified, first monthly report generated.
You'll have visibility into the endpoint console throughout — no black box.
We already have an IT person — can you still help?
Yes. Security Essentials works as a co-managed service. Your internal IT contact keeps day-to-day ownership (hands, faces, business context); we deliver the secure remote support platform, patching, policy enforcement, antivirus and escalation support in the background.
Many of our best-fit clients run this way — the internal person isn't replaced, they're equipped with a real management console and patch/alert automation.
How is this different from enterprise EDR?
Security Essentials bundles our managed endpoint platform (patching, policy, diagnostics, alerting) with Bitdefender-powered antivirus. That's real-time scanning, heuristic detection, web traffic security, anti-phishing and ransomware protection — but it's AV, not full EDR/XDR with behaviour telemetry and threat hunting.
If you need that tier, we integrate enterprise EDR as a priced add-on. For most Perth small businesses, managed endpoint + Bitdefender AV is the honest, right-sized baseline.
How is this different from ad-hoc IT support?
Ad-hoc is reactive and billed hourly at $180/hr — great for occasional issues, not for ongoing posture. Security Essentials is proactive: Bitdefender AV scanning continuously, patches applied on schedule, policies enforced, alerts triaged automatically.
On 12 endpoints at $29.95 that's $359.40/month fixed — the subscription pays for itself versus ad-hoc at about 2 hours of work per month. See the comparison table above.
